Two new Nordic spas are in the works in Alberta and one is HUGE
The existing 21-room hotel will be transformed to meet the Everwild experience, offering treatment rooms and an open-air rooftop bar and grill fit for 50 guests.
The second Alberta location is scheduled to open in Winter 2028 and is set to be one of the largest spas in North America.
Located in the hamlet of Harmony, just west of Calgary, the spa will cover 5.5 acres across more than 180,000 sq. ft. of combined Nordic-inspired spa and hotel space. The spa is going to feature outdoor thermal pools, floating sauna docks, lakefront relaxation areas, a 26-room hotel, and a full-service restaurant.

Basecamp Resorts already operates an Everwild Nordic spa in Canmore, which opened in November 2025.
“Everwild Nordic Spas & Hotels are created to offer a different way of travelling, one that prioritizes presence over pace,” said Sky Mitchell, founder and CEO of Basecamp Resorts, in a release.
On top of this, they are also opening a location in Fernie, B.C., which will feature around 37,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor Nordic-inspired spa facilities.
