As if you needed another excuse to hop aboard the Vancouver Goldeneyes bandwagon.
Vancouver&#8217;s new Professional Women&#8217;s Hockey League team had a dream debut at the Pacific Coliseum, <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/goldeneyes-blown-away-support-sold-out-crowd" target="_blank">scoring a comeback overtime win in front of a sold-out Pacific Coliseum</a>.
You&#8217;ve heard about that by now.
What you may not yet know is how much drinks cost at Goldeneyes games.
Concession stands offered $5 &#8220;game day specials&#8221; for a selection of draft beer and wine during the inaugural game. A PNE spokesperson confirmed to Daily Hive that this offer will be valid at every Goldeneyes game this season.
Included in the deal are 12 oz cups of Parallel 49 Trash Panda or Budweiser, as well as house red or white wine.

Those prices are well below <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/how-much-canucks-charging-beer-rogers-arena" target="_blank">what the Canucks charge at Rogers Arena</a>, where a 12 oz Molson Canadian or Coors Light costs $9.75, while craft beer will set you back $11.75. House wine at Canucks games is $9.99 for a 5 oz cup.
Even bottled water at Rogers Arena ($6.25) costs more than the cheapest beer and wine options at Goldeneyes games.
Other items at the Coliseum are more in line with typical stadium prices, like a 12 oz cup of Stella Artois for $10 or an Olé Paloma for $13. If you&#8217;re particular about your wine, a Black Sage cabernet sauvignon is $15, while Kim Crawford sauvignon blanc and Oyster Bay rosé cost $13 per cup.
The PNE has also rolled out new food items, including a personal charcuterie box, black forest cake in a jar, gourmet sausage rolls, and slow-braised beef taco salad. This is in addition to old favourites, like pizza, hot dogs, or Triple O&#8217;s burgers.
&#8220;These changes are really about adding to the traditional hockey night favourites that we all know and love,&#8221; said PNE executive chef Andy Chong. &#8220;We wanted to ensure that there is something for everyone – from staples like hot dogs and burgers to more elevated options like personal charcuterie boxes and our slow braised beef taco salad. The PNE is also committed to providing budget-friendly options with items on both our food and drink menus.&#8221;
The Goldeneyes suffered their first loss on Wednesday, getting beat 5-1 by Ottawa in their first road game. They play two more away games, in New York on Saturday and Boston on Wednesday, before returning to Vancouver for a four-game homestand.
That homestand will see the Goldeneyes host New York (Dec. 6), Ottawa (Dec. 16), Montreal (Dec. 20), and Minnesota (Dec. 27) at the Coliseum next month.
