<p>Canadians planning to explore their own backyard this year have plenty of first-rate hotels and resorts to choose from in Canada.</p>
<p>U.S. News &amp; World Report revealed its 16th annual ranking of the best accommodations around the world.</p>
<p>The 2026 rankings highlight more than 31,000 hotels across over 400 destinations to help travellers find accommodations that suit their needs.</p>
<p>&#8220;The hotels highlighted in U.S. News&#8217; 2026 Best Hotels rankings set the standard for<br />
top-tier customer service, stellar amenities and truly memorable guest experiences,&#8221;<br />
stated Zach Watson, senior data editor of travel at U.S. News.</p>
<p>The rankings are based on three key factors: reputation among professional travel experts, guest reviews and hotel class ratings.</p>
<p>U.S. News released lists of the best hotels and resorts in Canada.</p>
<p>Maintaining the number one spot on the best hotels in Canada list is the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, which offers guests rooms and suites with modern amenities and spa offerings for visitors seeking relaxation.</p>

<p>Second place goes to Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, and it wasn&#8217;t the only high-rated hotel in B.C.</p>
<p>For those who would rather be surrounded by snow-capped mountains than city life, Four Seasons Resort Whistler made third place, followed by the Hazelton Hotel in Toronto and the Four Seasons Hotel Montreal.</p>

<p>The Four Seasons Resort Whistler took the number one spot, followed by Fogo Island Inn in Newfoundland. This isn&#8217;t the first time the uniquely designed inn has received accolades. In 2024, it was named among the <a href="https://dailyhive.com/canada/best-hotels-resorts-in-world-fogo-island-inn" target="_blank">best hotels and resorts in the world</a> by <em>Condé Nast Traveler</em>.</p>
<p>Quebec&#8217;s Manoir Hovey takes third place, boasting L&#8217;Occitane toiletries and a cozy stay surrounded by trees. Fairmont Château Whistler and Hotel X Toronto round out the top five best resorts in Canada.</p>
