“Step into the magic of Noel Surrey, where millions of lights shine bright at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds this winter,” said the event’s website. “Every ticket purchased helps support the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.”
Noel Surrey will feature massive displays, stunning LED forests, and photo opportunities, along with 300 ft. of light tunnels.
Take a stroll around the pond at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre to enjoy the accessible Bright Nights light display, produced through thousands of volunteer hours by over 800 firefighters.
Bright Nights has roots in Surrey and is the single largest fundraiser each year for the Burn Fund, which provides life-saving, life-supporting, and life-enriching services to people in B.C.
Programs supported include Burn Camp and the Home Away Program, which provides accommodations to survivors, firefighters and their families who must travel to Vancouver for medical treatment.
Noel Surrey will include a more than 30,000 sq. ft. indoor venue at the Cloverdale Agriplex, with festive treats, visits with Santa and the Green & Grumpy One, and a Christmas market.
There will also be a Ferris Wheel and bumper cars on select dates, as well as plenty of children’s activities, live music, and performances, along with holiday fun.
Presale tickets are on sale now for 20 per cent off. Admission will include all attractions, entertainment, and parking.
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation told Daily Hive that it had a long-standing and valued partnership with the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund, donating more than $2.5 million to the fund since 1998.

“The Park Board had been in discussions with the Burn Fund on how it could assist the organization in reaching its fundraising goals, but ultimately the Burn Fund made the decision to move the event to Surrey,” said the Park Board. “We encourage the public to continue supporting this important cause and the vital work they do for burn survivors and their families.
“On Sept. 3, 2025, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation announced that it will be hosting a Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience in Stanley Park from Nov. 7, 2025, while the Stanley Park Train remains offline this year. The Harry Potter event is an excellent opportunity to activate the site this fall while Park Board staff explore new operating and business models for the Stanley Park Railway.”
While there has been considerable outcry surrounding the associations between the Harry Potter event and the author behind the franchise, people are also upset about the experience’s pricing.

According to the event’s FeverUp page, tickets start at $49.50, and children under the age of three are admitted free of charge. However, some individuals who have pre-sale access, which can be obtained by joining the waitlist, are sharing significantly more expensive ticket prices. Some are even suggesting that “surge pricing” is in effect, as certain times are priced considerably higher.
According to some comments on a Reddit thread, some tickets go for as high as $84 per person, depending on the time. That’s before GST is taken into account.
In comparison, Bright Nights cost $15, and the proceeds went to the Firefighters Burn Fund.
