The list encompasses everything from “swanky cocktail lounges to cheerful public houses,” as voted by judges from across the country.

For the second year in a row, the top spot was snagged by Toronto’s Bar Pompette, a Parisian-style cafe and cocktail bar. The spot has received some serious accolades over the past week, also being declared the best in Canada in the ranking of North America’s 50 Best Bars.

Cloakroom Bar in Montreal (2), Civil Liberties in Toronto (3), The Keefer Bar in Vancouver (4), and Montreal’s Atwater Cocktail Club (5) round out the top five.

In addition to bars from Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, there is representation from cities including Calgary, Quebec City, Halifax, Saskatoon, Edmonton, and more.
