The American business magazine recently released a roundup of the world&#8217;s 50 most beautiful villages, and one Canadian spot landed in the upper half of the list.
Nestled on the south shore of Prince Edward Island, the village of Victoria-by-the-Sea has a population of just 139, according to the 2021 Canadian census, and it ranked 23rd.

Founded in 1819, the experts at Forbes touted the village&#8217;s pastel-coloured cottages that line the shore in the area, along with the &#8220;smell of fresh lobster which drifts from artsy harbour side cafés, while kayakers paddle the red-sand coast of the Northumberland Strait.&#8221;
The <a href="https://www.tourismpei.com/attractions/victoria-range-light-seaport-museum" target="_blank">Victoria Seaport Lighthouse</a> got a shoutout, along with the Studio Gallery and the Victoria Playhouse.
It&#8217;s no surprise the picturesque village landed on the list, with Prince Edward Island itself recently being named a <a href="https://dailyhive.com/canada/canada-spot-named-top-travel-destination-for-2026" target="_blank">top travel destination in the world for 2026</a>.
Other villages from around the world to make the list included spots in Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, and the United States.
