Laine Mitchell is the Alberta Editor based in Edmonton. He grew up in a small town west of the capital region, where he also landed his first job as a reporter at a radio station. After that, he moved on to CTV News Edmonton in 2018, before joining Daily Hive in 2021. In his downtime he can be found running, grabbing coffee with friends, jetting off to enjoy the mountains, or listening to Taylor Swift. <p>The childhood home of a former prime minister has landed on the market in Alberta, and it could be yours for $830,000.</p>
<p>The home, located at 725 Macleod Tr. SW in High River, which was built in 1909, was the childhood home of Joe Clark, who was in office from 1979 to 1980.</p>
<p>It was built by newspaperman Charles Clark Sr., who founded the <em>High River Times</em> and housed three generations of the Clark family, according to <a href="https://www.historicplaces.ca/en/rep-reg/place-lieu.aspx?id=6563&amp;pid=0" target="_blank">Canada&#8217;s Historic Places</a>.</p>
