These two spots near Calgary are seeing detached home prices increase
High River saw a boost in inventory in March, up 31.6 per cent compared to this time last year. The rise in inventory also pushed the town’s months of supply up to 2.17, meaning it would take just over two months to sell all the homes currently in inventory.
Strathmore followed a similar trend with inventory jumping up 67.2 per cent year-over-year to 102, which left its months of supply at 3.40.
On the other hand, most areas saw a decrease in home prices, with Airdrie leading the way, seeing a 6.3 per cent decrease to $605,400. Canmore followed with a six per cent decrease, dropping to $1,633,300.
Although Canmore saw a decrease in prices, it still has the highest benchmark price in the region; meanwhile, Strathmore was the least expensive, even though it saw an increase year-over-year.
