Family Day at the Burnaby Village Museum
What: Burnaby Village Museum invites guests to go back in time this Family Day weekend.
Go on a guided tour of a number of key exhibits and gardens, hear stories related to Burnaby’s food and culture from museum interpreters, and more.

Big Bang Festival
What: Music on Main and Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre are teaming up for the Big Bang Festival, a day of musical adventure for children ages 5 and up.
The immersive festival will be a journey through music and sound art, with mini-concerts, interactive activities, and more to discover. There will also be free activities like face painting, a Bounce House, and a carnival band.
When: Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026

Family Day Weekend at Grouse Mountain
What: Grouse Mountain invites all ages to enjoy its Family Day Weekend, where children ages 12 and under receive free mountain admission and lift tickets.
There will be daily family activities from Saturday to Monday, including crafts, owl talks, and a scavenger hunt with a prize draw entry. You can even go on family snowshoe tours (bookings required), and checkout the fireworks display on Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m.
Other fun activities include a DJ skate party on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m., an outdoor pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. by donation to Family Services of the North Shore, and a hockey shoot-out at the Mountaintop Skating Pond from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Catch some all-ages friendly comedy on the Family Comedy Stage supported by CreativeBC and Just for Laughs Vancouver, enjoy a story program with Vancouver Public Library, visit The Joke Factory and treat yourself to a complimentary hot cocoa at the hot chocolate station.

Team Canada FanFest
Vancouver will be celebrating winter sports and its Olympic legacy from Feb. 15 to Feb. 16, alongside a scenic, waterfront backdrop at Jack Poole Plaza.
Interactive demos from Curling Canada and Hockey Canada give fans a chance to try their hand at Olympic-style activities. There will also be activities for sporting fans of all ages to try.
Watch live events from the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, including Men’s Hockey (CAN vs. FRA), Figure Skating Pairs, Women’s Bobsleigh, Women’s Freestyle Ski Big Air, and Men’s Curling (CAN vs. GBR).

What: Science World invites guests to blast off in its latest feature exhibit, Artemis Space Adventure with Lego Bricks.
Visitors will use Lego bricks to imagine, design, and build their way through deep space challenges. There are also huge Lego sculptures and workshop stations to inspire the creativity of explorers of all ages.

Fan Expo Vancouver 2026

What: Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the three-day celebration at the Vancouver Convention Centre, drawing in fans of sci-fi, horror, comic books, and everyone in between. There will also be lots for the little ones to enjoy at this year’s Fan Expo.
The epic lineup of celebrity guests includes Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings), Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), and many more.
The cast of Twilight will also be doing a historic reunion while they are in Vancouver.

Britannia Mine Museum – Ores & Orcas
What: Britannia Mine Museum hosts Ores & Orcas – Howe Sound /Átl’ḵa7tsem: A Recovering Ecosystem until February 2026. Guests will be able to explore how copper contamination impacted the marine food chain from plankton to predators and discover how remediation efforts protect the important ecosystem.
The temporary exhibit also showcases specimens from the Howe Sound ecosystem, including the skeleton of a real killer whale.

Family Day Skate
What: The City of Burnaby has a variety of Family Day events lined up, including two skate sessions. Drop by Bill Copeland Sports Centre from 1 to 3:15 p.m. for a family skate, crafts, and face painting.
In the evening, head on by Kensington Complex from 6 to 8:15 p.m. for another family skate event.
