A free Filipino festival of culture and cuisine is coming to Surrey next month
“Each year, it is an honour to work with the Filipino community as they celebrate their traditions through performance, food, activities, vendors, and music,” said Lynn Saffery, Museum of Surrey manager, in a release.
“It is such an honour to showcase and celebrate their diverse cultures and heritage.”
This year’s Filipino festival will showcase a thrilling lineup of performers, including singers, poets, dancers, and DJs.

Artists that will take the stage include Glisha, Raffy Swap, The Kuyas, Red Filos, Argel MDR, Eyechos, and Ash Angel.
There will be a marketplace with local vendors and artisans, kids’ activities, live demos and photo opportunities. And visitors can also explore the immersive, all-ages exhibit “Ocean Bound” to learn how actions on land impact ocean health and aquatic life.

“The Filipino community is grateful to the Museum of Surrey for their remarkable and generous gesture of hosting festivities for us to share and extend to the community at large,” said Narima Dela Cruz, president of Surrey Philippine Independence Day Society (SPIDS), in a statement.
