<p>Former Vancouver Canucks rinkside reporter Kate Pettersen has a new gig.</p>
<p>Pettersen <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/will-canucks-hire-new-team-reporter" target="_blank">parted ways with the team following the 2023-24 season</a>. The Canucks <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks-reporter-replace-kate-pettersen" target="_blank">hired Olivia McDonald as a replacement</a>, and the B.C. native is still working for the club.</p>
<p>Pettersen recently revealed that she has landed a new gig as co-host of the show <em>Frankly Speaking</em>, alongside NHL insider Frank Seravalli.</p>

<p>After leaving the Canucks in 2024, Pettersen continued her work as an NHL reporter. She worked for the NHL Network in 2024-25, covering events such as Utah&#8217;s first NHL game and the NHL Draft. Pettersen also worked as a reporter for hockey outlet <em>The Fourth Period</em> last season.</p>
<p>She has also worked as a golf reporter for ESPN, covering events such as the TGL Finals.</p>
<p>Now, Pettersen is teaming up with one of the most well-known insiders in the NHL.</p>

<p>Seravalli announced in May that he was leaving Daily Faceoff, where he had worked since 2021. Before that, he had spent six years as a reporter for TSN.</p>
<p>Seravalli and Pettersen are <a href="https://victoryplus.com/share/FranklyHockey/7472" target="_blank">hosting the podcast <em>Frankly Speaking</em> on Victory+</a>, where the show can be streamed and downloaded for free.</p>
