“The Harrison Tulip Festival is more than just flowers — it’s a full spring experience,” said the event’s website.
“Guests can explore the fields, enjoy delicious food truck offerings, relax in our expanded picnic areas, and take part in unique experiences like the Bloom Bar, where visitors can create their own bouquets and flower crowns.”
Festival founder Kate Onos-Gilbert and her family launched Tulips of the Valley in 2006 on Seabird Island just east of Agassiz. After successful stints in Chilliwack with tulip and sunflower festivals, the family acquired its own farmland in the Harrison River Valley.
Onos Greenhouses grows all of the tulips featured at the Harrison Tulip Festival and supplies about 85 per cent of the cut tulips sold across Western Canada.

The festival features a stunning four-acre show garden filled with blooms of different heights and varieties, including multi-flowering, parrots, and Viridiflora.
Those looking to get more in-depth with their photo ops will want to track down the various backdrops at the festival. You can even climb aboard one of the raised platforms to get Mount Cheam as your backdrop.
Harrison Tulip Festival was even named the World’s Best Instagrammable Tulip Farm at the 2024 World Tulip Summit in Holland.

New for the 20th anniversary event is The Bloom Bar, where guests can explore a self-serve flower area to create the perfect bouquets and flower crowns.
Also debuting in 2026 is the Night Garden, an illuminated evening experience on select dates within the festival’s show garden. Take in the glowing lanterns, twinkling lights, and the stunning tulips in the whimsical atmosphere.
Swing by the farm store for treats and refreshments, and stop by the various local food trucks on site for some tasty dishes. And on your way out, pick up some fresh-cut and potted tulips, souvenirs, and more to bring home with you.
