“This is a first-of-its-kind agreement, and we are to offer the many benefits of this award-winning airline loyalty program to our flying guests, giving them access to hundreds of destinations and services both domestically and internationally,” said Danny Sitnam, president and CEO of Helijet, in a release.
Helijet operates scheduled passenger airline services from its heliports in downtown Vancouver and Vancouver International Airport, as well as downtown Victoria and downtown Nanaimo.
It currently operates a fleet of over a dozen small aircraft, which is almost entirely comprised of helicopters. Helijet has also carried over three million guests in the past 39 years.

Helijet is the world’s first helicopter airline to partner with Aeroplan, allowing its passengers to earn points and redeem them on Air Canada as well as over 45 partner airlines.
Points can also be cashed on for hotel stays, vacation packages, merchandise, and more.
“Now with Helijet, Aeroplan Members can enjoy the ease and excitement of helicopter travel while turning their journeys into rewards,” said Scott O’Leary, vice president of loyalty and product at Air Canada, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to bring together Helijet’s convenient services in British Columbia with the global reach and value of Aeroplan.”

Air Canada recently shared good news for Aeroplan members collecting points.
If you’re worried about losing your Aeroplan points, Air Canada is giving customers more flexibility by extending their expiration dates.
It’s also been a busy time for Helijet, with the YVR-based company showing off a new generation battery-powered plane in early November that could be a part of the future of its fleet.
Helijet and the Canadian Advanced Air Mobility group welcomed the arrival of Beta Technologies’ ALIA CTOL CX300 — a battery-electric plane that can carry passengers and cargo. This is the first time the aircraft has ever flown into Western Canada.
