<p>It&#8217;s a great day to be a <em>Camp Rock </em>fan because the Jonas Brothers just officially confirmed that the third instalment of the beloved Disney movie franchise is in the works, and it&#8217;s filming right here in Metro Vancouver.</p>
<p><a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/jonas-brothers-camp-rock-3-vancouver" target="_blank">Earlier this week</a>, we reported that the brothers were spotted on set at Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby, sparking heavy speculation that they were in town filming <em>Camp Rock 3. </em></p>
<p>In fact, it was a little too obvious that the third movie was in production, because photos of the set were shared by curious fans who snapped images of a giant <em>Camp Rock</em> sign.</p>

<p>However, nothing was officially confirmed until today, and the Jonas Brothers took it upon themselves to share the good news via Instagram.</p>

<p>Joe, Nick, and Kevin can be seen sitting at a picnic table on set in the Metro Vancouver park, lip-syncing some classic <em>Camp Rock</em> lines from their characters, brothers Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, also known as musical group Connect 3.</p>
<p>In a release, Disney confirmed that the third movie had officially been greenlit for Disney+ and Disney Channel.</p>
<p>&#8220;Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas will return to their iconic roles. Demi Lovato and Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas will executive produce the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie,&#8221; noted Disney in a statement, confirming that filming began earlier this week in Vancouver.</p>
<p>Several new cast members will join the film, including Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, and Brooklynn Pitts.</p>
<p>Disney also provided some further information about what&#8217;s in store for the Gray brothers in the third movie.</p>
<p>&#8220;The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing,&#8221; said the network.</p>
<p>&#8220;As campers vie for the chance to open for their favourite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.&#8221;</p>
<p>Aside from this filming project, the Jonas Brothers will also be performing at Rogers Arena this week for their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour.</p>
