<p>After their visit to Vancouver as part of Fan Expo, the cast of <em>The Lord of the Rings </em>had some very nice things to say about the local food scene.</p>
<p>In a video posted by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/dineoutvanfest/" target="_blank">@dineoutvanfest</a> on Tuesday evening, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd shared what they thought of all the great eats the city has to offer.</p>
<p>&#8220;Very friendly, great food scene,&#8221; said Monaghan. &#8220;We went for dinner last night [at] Mott 32, we&#8217;re going to Vij&#8217;s tonight, we&#8217;ve got one more night that is up for grabs.&#8221;</p>

<p>The four actors did end up dining at Vij&#8217;s, with the restaurant <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/vijs-elijah-wood-vancouver" target="_blank">sharing photos</a> from the visit on Sunday morning.</p>
<p>&#8220;Welcoming Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan to Vij&#8217;s felt surreal — four incredible artists whose work has brought so much joy to audiences around the world, gathered around our table in Vancouver,&#8221; said Vij&#8217;s. &#8220;We&#8217;re so grateful to share our food and hospitality with wonderful guests. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do.&#8221;</p>
<p>The restaurant also shared that each star walked away with a copy of <em>My New Indian Kitchen</em>, Chef Vij&#8217;s new cookbook co-authored with Jennifer Muttoo.</p>
