The manager arrived and, after scanning her ticket, whispered to Martin, “Ma’am, you’ve won $109,857!”

It turns out that Martin was one of the two winners from Quebec who won the second prize during the Lotto Max draw on January 21. As a result, both winners received $109,857.80 each.
Once at home, Martin called her her eldest daughter to share the news.
Her daughter said, “I asked if everything was okay. She said, super calmly, ‘Sure — except I just won $109,857.’ I was speechless!”
This time, Martin didn’t forget about her ticket — she kept it with her and refused to let it out of her sight.
“It stayed in my wallet until I had the cheque in my hand,” she said.
Finally, four months after her win, Martin arrived at the Loto-Québec headquarters, accompanied by her three children, to claim her cheque. She said she plans to use her winnings to spoil them.
The winning ticket was purchased at Marché du Village, located at 98 Route 235 in L’Ange-Gardien — the same retailer that sold a $60,000,000 jackpot ticket to a group of 28 people in January 2017.
