<p>Monthly Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) payments are scheduled to be distributed to Ontario residents next week.</p>
<p>Eligible Ontario residents who are registered to receive the payment can expect to see the deposit in their bank account on Tuesday, Feb. 10.</p>
<h2>Are you eligible for the Ontario Trillium Benefit?</h2>

<p>The OTB is a tax-free combination of three payments: the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit, the Northern Ontario Energy Credit, and the Ontario Sales Tax Credit.</p>
<p>You must be eligible for at least one of the payments to receive it on a monthly basis.</p>
<p>A person could get a maximum of $1,283 for the <a href="https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-trillium-benefit#section-3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit</a> if you&#8217;re between 18 and 64 years old, $1,461 if you are 65 or older, $285 if you live on a reserve or in a public long-term care home, and $25 for the time you lived in a designated college, university, or private school residence in 2024, according to the Province&#8217;s website.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-trillium-benefit#section-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Northern Ontario Energy Credit</a> is designed to assist low- to moderate-income residents with higher energy costs associated with living in the north. Single individuals can receive a maximum of $185, and families can receive a maximum of $285.</p>
<p>As for the <a href="https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-trillium-benefit#section-4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ontario Sales Tax Credit</a>, you can receive up to $371 and may even receive an additional credit payment of up to $371 for your spouse or common-law partner and each dependent child under 19 years of age on the first day of the payment month. The credit won&#8217;t impact your GST/HST credit payments.</p>
<h2>OTB payment dates for the rest of the year</h2>
<p>The benefit will be paid out on the following dates:</p>

<li>July 10, 2026</li>
<li>Aug. 10, 2026</li>
<li>Sept. 10, 2026</li>

<li>Nov. 10, 2026</li>
<li>Dec. 10, 2026</li>
</ul>
<p>If you don&#8217;t receive your payment, wait 10 working days from the payment date to contact the Canada Revenue Agency.</p>
<h2><a href="https://dailyhive.com/canada/benefit-payments-canada-feb-2026" target="_blank">More money coming this month</a></h2>
<p>Eligible Ontario residents can also expect Canada Disability Benefit payments on Feb. 19.</p>
<p>Canada Child Benefit, Ontario Child Benefit, and Child Disability Benefit payments will be made a day later on Feb. 20.</p>
<p>Payments for the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS) pension will be deposited on Feb. 25.</p>
