CWUR says it uses seven objective and robust indicators grouped into four areas to rank the world’s universities, including education, employability, faculty, and research. UBC’s scores for the four assessment categories are:
- Education Rank: 112
- Employability Rank: 490
- Faculty Rank: 56
- Research Rank: 35
UBC moved up a few places from its ranking last year, coming in at #52 in 2024.
The top universities in the world are based in the United States, with Harvard taking the top spot, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford.
Simon Fraser University also placed in the top 500, landing in spot 409 globally and 15th nationally.
