“When we started the Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival, the goal was simple. Create a valuable way for people to discover products they may never have tried otherwise, all in an easy and approachable format,” said festival director David Bain.

“What makes the Festival so special is the chance to connect directly with the producers. You are not just tasting their craft, you are hearing their stories and understanding the passion behind every bite and sip.”

Guests will enjoy 150 curated pairings showcasing everything you need on a mouthwatering serving platter.

There’s something for all tastes to enjoy during each of the three tasting sessions. Bring your appetite as you’ll be dining on pairings like sharp cheddar with whisky, wine with spiced chorizo, and creamy brie with locally made bread and preserves.

There will be various accompaniments that make for a perfect charcuterie platter, ranging from pickled items to unique spreads.

The Festival is also teaming up with Fresh St. Market for a Coast-to-Coast Canadian Cheese Showcase. The first-of-its-kind program gives guests a rare chance to try cheeses from across Canada, with cheesemakers from Nova Scotia to B.C. showing off their craftsmanship.

And wine lovers won’t want to miss the curated lineup of rare and exclusive selections in the Wines of South Africa showcase.
