Huge celebrities spotted as Vancouver transforms into tropical paradise for film shoot
Aaron Sorkin is directing The Social Reckoning, the sequel to 2010’s The Social Network, which he also wrote. It is filming under the production name “Goliath.”
The original movie was directed by David Fincher and was critically acclaimed, being nominated for several Academy Awards and winning many of them, including the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture.

White, best known for his acclaimed work on the FX series The Bear as well as in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, will portray Jeff Horowitz, an investigative technology reporter.
Madison, who won best actress at the 2025 Oscars for her work in Anora, stars as Facebook engineer and whistleblower Frances Haugen.

According to local photographer NewWestBoy, the beach shoot was for a heated discussion between the two characters.
A notice of filming posted in the neighbourhood also revealed that several bonfires would be set on the beach during the shoot.
It’s a busy time of year for TV and movie productions around Metro Vancouver, and parts of the downtown area got a New York makeover this week.

In the Hornby and Hastings area, it appears as though there’s an entrance to a New York City Transit Subway station. While convincing from afar, there’s no actual entrance to a station once you get closer.
While we can’t confirm exactly what the production is for, The Social Reckoning does take place in New York and is currently being shot in Vancouver.
