“This location is now permanently closed,” reads a sign posted to Rogue’s window. “Thank you for your patronage through the many great years we enjoyed with you here.”
The local mini-chain is best known for its selection of burgers, patas, and other pub fare.
With the closure of its West Broadway location, alongside its Convention Centre location that closed in 2021, Rogue Kitchen’s final location is in Gastown attatched to Waterfront Station (601 West Cordova St., Vancouver)

Goldilocks Bake Shop Vancouver

Goldilocks has closed its only Vancouver outpost after nearly 20 years.
“After 18 years in our current Main Street location, we’ve decided to close our Mount Pleasant Goldilocks Bake Shop this spring,” wrote the bakery on its Instagram.
Goldilocks is a popular spot for traditional Filipino cakes, pastries, and bread, and also operates a location in Burnaby, which will remain open.
Hailing from the Philippines, Goldilocks has nearly 1,000 locations across the world, the first of which opened in 1979.

Mangia E Bevi was best known for its classic, no frills Italian fare. Its menu features fan-favourite options like Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe, Piccata Di Pollo, Tiramisu, and more.

Moody Ales & Co.
Moody Ales & Co. posted the news of its closure to its followers on Thursday, Dec. 4, stating that “this was not an easy decision.”
“We want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who has supported us, gathered with us, and enjoyed our beers over the years.”
The Port Moody establishment is part of the popular Brewer’s Row on Murray Street, and has been serving the community since Fall 2014.

The Ellis Restaurant, located in Kitsilano, broke the news on Instagram that it would be closing permanently.
“We’ve loved every minute of it, but it’s time to say farewell. Thank you dearly to our community for your support,” wrote the restaurant.

After opening in March 2024, B.C.’s first robot bubble tea shop has quietly closed its doors.
While an official closure announcement has not been made, windows for the store have since been papered up, and a sign has been posted indicating the space is for lease. Additionally, the cafe is listed as “Permanently Closed” on Google.
For those unfamiliar, Tea Industries advertised itself as the first robot bubble tea shop in B.C. Here, customers would place their orders on one of two available touch screen kiosks and watch as Tofee (the name of the Tea Industries’ robot barista) would craft drinks in front of them; similar to the barista robot Jarvis at Muji on Robson, this machine served up a variety of boba and coffee creations.

Manzano Europa Bakery
Manzano Europa Bakery, located inside Metropolis at Metrotown, has officially closed its doors.
A closure announcement has yet to be shared from the restaurant, but a Dished reader submitted a picture of signage that the bakery has indeed closed.
“After 25 wonderful years of serving our community, our owners have made the difficult decision to retire at the end of the year,” reads the sign.
Manzano is best known for its selection of desserts, like its tiramisu and chocolate truffle cake, as well as its selection of yeast-free breads and sourdough. In fact, Manzano shared that it has sold over a million loaves of sourdough since it opened.

Buca di Roma

“After many unforgettable years around the table, the time has come for us to say goodbye,” wrote Buca di Roma on Instagram.
The restaurant, located in Vancouver’s Arbutus Ridge neighbourhood along Macdonald Street, has been in operation for 20 years. It’s best known for its selection of Italian favourites, including antipasti like focaccia and bruschetta, pasta, and more, in addition to a standout selection of wine.
“What started as a restaurant became a place of connection, celebration, and shared moments — and that’s because of you,” added Buca di Roma.
“Thank you for every visit and every plate shared. This community has meant more to us than words can say.”
Its final day of operation is Sunday, Jan. 25.
