Granville has seen a lot of action when it comes to the <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/fast-food-canada-holiday-2025" target="_blank">fast food scene</a> as of late. Heavy hitters like <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/jollibee-broadway-cambie-vancouver-inside-video" target="_blank">Jollibee</a>, <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/popeyes-chicken-granville-street-vancouver" target="_blank">Popeyes Chicken</a>, and KFC have opened locations along the street, as well as <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/taco-bell-vancouver-964-granville-street" target="_blank">Taco Bell&#8217;s first Vancouver location</a>. Plus, <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/daves-hot-chicken-vancouver-2025" target="_blank">Dave&#8217;s Hot Chicken</a> recently announced it will be coming to Granville as well. Now, another big name in the fast food game is making its return to downtown Vancouver: Wendy&#8217;s.
Signs for a new Wendy&#8217;s location have popped up across the street from Holt Renfrew at 574 Granville St., the former home of <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/pi-co-pizza-vancouver-closed" target="_blank">Pi Co. Pizza</a>.
Currently, signs indicate that it is &#8220;Coming Soon,&#8221; with no official opening date announced yet.
Once open, this will be the only Wendy&#8217;s in the downtown core. It previously operated a location on Alberni Street, which has been closed for years.

This section of Granville has seen a lot of changes recently. In addition to all the fast food spots opening, <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/meinhardt-downtown-closed" target="_blank">Meinhardt Fine Foods</a> closed its location in Pacific Centre after over a decade, alongside Take Five Cafe. <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/aburi-market-granville" target="_blank">Aburi Market</a> is set to open a location in the same area soon.
Plus, earlier this year, <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/the-rec-room-downtown-vancouver-open" target="_blank">The Rec Room</a> opened its first three-storey Vancouver location here as well.

This is all ahead of the <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/granville-street-plan-downtown-vancouver-entertainment-district-approved" target="_blank">car-free revival plan</a> for the Granville Strip, which was approved by Vancouver City Council in June.
