A free Filipino festival of culture and cuisine is coming to Surrey next month

“WVBF has always been about more than just beer, it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and connection,” said organizers Gibbons Whistler to Daily Hive. “At its heart, this festival exists to make people happy.

“We’re proud to welcome guests from across BC and beyond to experience Whistler at its most vibrant, where laughter, music, and great company come together to create lasting memories.”

Highlights of the week’s festivities include the Sip & Stretch presented by WVBF and lululemon on Tuesday, Sept. 9, Let’s Get Quizzical – Beer Edition at Tapley’s on Wednesday, Sept. 10, and Bandaoke presented by Black’s Pub on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

The weekend fun begins on a Hunter Gather Pre Beer Fest Party on Friday, Sept. 12, and a Craft Beer Brunch at Stonesedge Kitchen on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Then get ready for the main event on Saturday afternoon when over 40 craft beverage makers will serve their award-winning creations at the Olympic Plaza.

Thousands of guests will also enjoy live performances by Whistler’s own Soul Club, Matty Miller & The Barge Boys, The Zummers, JennaMae and The Groove Section and Fresh Cut Grass.

To keep the party vibes going, a variety of food trucks and fun lawn games will be set up.

General admission tickets include an official WVBF sampling mug and three beer tokens.

All access tickets with early VIP entry, five beer tokens, a smokie lunch, bonus swag, a bonus The Adventure Group day ticket, and entry to the Official Afterparty at Longhorn Saloon are also available online.
