Vancouver culinary celebration with unlimited tastings returns next month
“Yes Shef is a movement to celebrate and amplify the incredible women shaping the food and beverage industry,” said Joanna Jagger, founder and executive director. “I started my hospitality career as a cook, where I was often the only woman in the kitchen. Twenty-five years ago, I didn’t have a community to offer support and mentorship as I navigated the industry.
“While a lot has changed in the sector, we want to see more women in leadership roles. Yes Shef is about inspiration, connection, and opening doors for the next generation in culinary.”
The WORTH Association is the only society in Canada dedicated to helping women advance in the hospitality, recreation, and tourism fields. The non-profit hosts networking and educational events, mentorship programs and skills training, and provides leadership resources to support women in their careers.

Worth Association
Yes Shef pairs top women chefs with students from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, and marks the beginning of a mentorship program held by the WORTH Association.
