Seesaw at the pump as gas prices in Alberta forecast to yo-yo soon
Gas prices in Alberta are forecast to yo-yo over the coming days, with a gas price analysis service estimating a rise in price today, before a dip tomorrow.
Gas Wizard predicts prices will increase by approximately four cents per litre (to $1689) in Edmonton and eight cents per litre (to $1.589) in Calgary today, Wednesday, April 1.
The price of premium fuel is also set to rise by four cents per litre in YEG and four cents per litre in YYC, while diesel prices are forecast to see a drop.
Diesel prices will drop by approximately five cents per litre (to $1.879) in Edmonton and five cents per litre (to $1.909) in Calgary.

The slight rise at the pump in Alberta will be short-lived, with Thursday, April 2, set to bring a drop in gas prices. Prices will decrease by approximately three cents per litre (to $1.659) in Edmonton and three cents per litre (to $1.669) in Calgary.
The price of premium fuel is also set to drop by three cents per litre in YEG and four cents per litre in YYC, along with diesel prices dipping by approximately five cents per litre (to $1.829) in Edmonton and five cents per litre (to $1.859) in Calgary.
Despite yet another week of high prices at the pump this week, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. Looking at the daily pump price survey done by Kalibrate, the highest prices yesterday were found in Vancouver at $2.27 and Victoria at $2.058. That’s some serious pain at the pump.
According to the daily pump price survey, the Canadian average at the pump for regular gasoline is $1.829, while diesel is $2.367.
