'Heated Rivalry' fans raise over $65,000 for B.C. charity to honour Hudson Williams

Some of the biggest wins happen off the ice, at least when it comes to Heated Rivalry fans.
An ongoing fundraiser started by Gianna Christine on the social media platform Threads has raised nearly $66,000 for BC Children’s Hospital.
According to an update posted by Christine on the official fundraiser site, she was inspired to show Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams some “birthday love” by donating to the province’s only dedicated pediatric hospital.

“My own daughter needed brain surgery at six months old (she’s 10 now!), and children’s hospitals also saved the lives of my niece and one of my baby cousins,” stated Christine in a message to the “Wolf Birds,” a reference to an iconic scene in the Crave series.
“I was really touched when Hudson said this facility saved his life as a baby.”
Christine goes by the handle @gigi_champagne on Threads and posts regular updates about the fundraiser to fans of Heated Rivalry.
Williams named BC Children’s Hospital Foundation as his charity of choice on the Golden Globes red carpet earlier this year.
The moment touched many fans as well as families who have been helped by the hospital over the years.

The fundraiser started by Christine was set to end on Hudson’s birthday on Friday, Feb. 13.
However, the overwhelming response has led to the fundraiser being extended, with it now raising nearly 66 times its original goal of $1,000 as of press time.
“The level of generosity I’ve seen in the last three weeks is unparalleled,” added Christine in another update online.
“I still don’t know if Hudson knows about this, or if he ever will, but I will truly never forget this outpouring of kindness. It shows the power of good people coming together for a common goal (book pun not intended).”

It has been a busy time for Williams as he recently joined Heated Rivalry co-star Connor Storrie in being torchbearers for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
Several Canadian cities even fought over the Canadian Heated Rivalry star, with fans taking sides online.
Williams is no stranger to Vancouver. After Heated Rivalry gained widespread attention from viewers, it was revealed that he spent considerable time in Metro Vancouver, having attended a film program at Langara College and working at the Old Spaghetti Factory in New Westminster.
