Whiplash at the pump as gas prices in Alberta forecast to yo-yo soon

Gas prices in Alberta are forecast to yo-yo over the coming days, with a gas price analysis service estimating a price dip today, before a rise tomorrow.
Gas Wizard predicts prices will drop by approximately seven cents per litre (to $1.579) in Edmonton and eight cents per litre (to $1.589) in Calgary today, Friday, March 27.
The price of premium fuel is also set to decrease by eight cents per litre in YEG and eight cents per litre in YYC, while diesel prices are forecast to see the biggest price reductions.
Diesel prices will drop by approximately 10 cents per litre (to $1.829) in Edmonton and 10 cents per litre (to $1.859) in Calgary.

The relief at the pump in Alberta will be short-lived, with Saturday, March 28, set to bring a rise in gas prices. Prices will rise by approximately four cents per litre (to $1.919) in Edmonton and four cents per litre (to $1.629) in Calgary.
The price of premium fuel is also set to increase by four cents per litre in YEG and eight cents per litre in YYC, while diesel prices will rise by approximately four cents per litre (to $1.869) in Edmonton and four cents per litre (to $1.899) in Calgary.
Despite yet another week of high prices at the pump this week, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. Looking at the daily pump price survey done by Kalibrate, the highest prices yesterday are found in Victoria at $2.096 and Vancouver at $2.09. That’s some serious pain at the pump.
According to the daily pump price survey, the Canadian average at the pump for regular gasoline is $1.801, while diesel is $2.247.
