Living in Canada isn’t cheap, and we’re in an era where if you’re not taking advantage of all the points, bundles, apps, and reward programs out there, you’re basically leaving money on the table.
And while it can feel like our day-to-day expenses take an even larger chunk out of our pockets each month, there is an ever-growing list of ways to contribute towards your next trip or shave a few bucks off your grocery bill without even thinking about it.
Here are some points, programs, bundles, and perks you might not know about.
Uber + Aeroplan + Starbucks

Basically, if you need to eat, commute, grab a coffee on the way to work, or get groceries delivered, this is something you should’ve integrated, like, yesterday. You can earn points on rides to and from the airport, rack them up through Uber Eats, and if you’re a frequent flyer, you can even get flight credits with Air Canada just from those airport trips.
You can also earn and redeem Aeroplan points by linking your Starbucks account.
Other ways to rack up points include showing your card at LCBO, linking Journie Rewards, or using Chexy for your rent.
Triangle + WestJet + Petro Canada

WestJet and Canadian Tire have teamed up to give Canadians more ways to earn more rewards for travel and shopping.
The airline and retailer just announced their new loyalty partnership that allows Canadians to link their WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards accounts to “spend once and earn twice.”
Whether you’re booking flights or shopping for new appliances, members who link their rewards accounts can earn both WestJet points and Canadian Tire Money on eligible items across participating businesses.
And in addition to extra rewards earned at stores that fall under the Triangle umbrella, like Sport Chek, you can link your Triangle Rewards and Petro-Points accounts to earn both CT Money and 20 per cent more points on the same transaction at Petro-Canada and Gas+ locations.
PC Optimum + Esso

We love saving up PC Optimum points for those days we want to lower our grocery bill or have been eyeing some luxe skincare at Shoppers Drug Mart, but don’t feel like spending a small fortune.
But you can get there a lot faster just by using your PC Optimum card every time you fill up your gas tank. You can earn points at more than 4,500 Esso stations across Canada, where you get 10 points per litre and per $1 spent on eligible purchases and at varying rates at Mobil stations. And with the price of gas as high as it is, you might be racking up points faster than you think!

Amazon Prime + DoorDash

If you’re the kind of person who wants to click a button and have something in their hands within the blink of an eye, this bundle is for you. Along with fast, free shipping, Prime Video, and the usual perks that come with an Amazon Prime membership, you can also get a DoorDash DashPass membership (normally $9.99/month) for free.
That means $0 delivery fees, lower service fees, and exclusive deals on orders that meet the minimum spend. You’ll also get five per cent back in credits on eligible pickup orders.
Scene Plus + Scotiabank + Shell

It feels like everywhere you go lately is asking for a Scene+ card, and once you see how many places this points program is connected to, it makes sense.
On top of the long list of retailers already on board, Scene+ members will be able to earn and redeem points at participating Shell locations across Canada, starting on May 26 (available in Alberta since March 3). When you fill up, you’ll get one point per litre, plus one point for every $1 spent on purchases like snacks, drinks, and car washes.
If you want to rack them up even faster, pairing it with a Scotiabank card can give you an extra boost. Best of all, you can redeem those points on anything from groceries to the movies, the hardware store or even your next holiday.
