B.C.'s largest food truck competition is returning to Metro Vancouver

Three days, over 40 food trucks, but only one winner per category; it might sound like the catchphrase for the latest cooking competition, but it’s actually the return of Food Truck Wars to Metro Vancouver.

The fifth annual Food Truck Wars is returning to the Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds from April 10 to 12, transforming the venue into a food truck lovers’ paradise.

The three-day event features a carefully curated lineup of food trucks competing across multiple categories, including Best in Show, Best Meat Sweats, Best Sweet Treats, People’s Choice, and a Creative Food Award, with the award ceremony being held on Sunday (alongside a hot dog eating contest).

Current confirmed vendors include heavyhitters like Taco Nori, Dos Amigos, Bomb Nachos, and many more that have yet to be announced.

“Food Truck Wars is in a class of its own with over 100k in past attendance, over 160 food
trucks, supporting dozens of local entertainers, and 100’s of entrepreneurs,” shared organizers. “We provide one of the Lower Mainland’s largest small-business incubators.”

There will also be a curated market vendor shopping experience from BC Shop Local, live entertainment on the main stage (as well as roaming entertainments throughout the event), a dedicated Kid Zone with mini golf and a rock wall, and a site-wide beverage garden provided by Event Pour Co.

If supporting your favourite local food truck wasn’t enough to convince you to attend, partial proceeds benefit The White Rock Titans, a youth football and cheerleading organization serving ages 5 to 18.

Tickets for Food Truck Wars are available for donation, which can be purchased in advance online or at the gate.
