Much-loved Lebanese restaurant closes one of its Vancouver locations

JamJar Canteen is joining the growing list of restaurants closing in and around Vancouver with the shuttering of its UBC location.
An official announcement has yet to be made on the restaurant’s social media, but it did share an update on its website.
“Lovey people, our UBC location is now permanently closed. Please visit us at Commercial Dr..” wrote the restaurant.

JamJar is best known for its wraps, mezzes, or rice and salad bowls. Think Chicken Shish Tawouk, Makali deep-fried cauliflower tossed in pomegranate molasses, lamb sausages, falafel, and all the signature dips.

In 2024, the restaurant also closed the doors to its Shipyards location, citing āa combination of mistakes we’ve made and a very challenging environment” as the reason for the closure.
Now that its UBC location has closed, its final outpost can be found at 2290 Commercial Dr., Vancouver.
