A new Loblaws City Market is planning to open its doors in Vancouver soon.

“If you haven’t noticed we’re pretty excited to be part of the community!” wrote the store on Instagram.

The new City Market location will be opening in the 407 ft. tall, 39-storey tower called The Stories at South Granville, located at 1477 West Broadway — the northeast corner of the intersection of Granville Street and West Broadway.

The 22,000 sq. ft. grocery store will occupy both the first and second floors of the building.

In addition to the 30,000 sq. ft. dedicated to retail space that will feature City Market alongside other businesses, The Stories at South Granville will feature 103,000 sq. ft. of dedicated office space and 226 rental units.

The building will also be fully integrated with the new South Granville Station on the Millennium Line Broadway extension, which has since delayed its completion date to Fall 2027.

“This development is at the gateway to downtown Vancouver and the Vancouver west side and features rental residential (with 20% of units priced for moderate income households), office, grocery, and retail space, as well as the new South Granville Station on the Millennium Line Broadway extension. Upon opening, South Granville Station will become one of the most utilized stations on the SkyTrain network,” wrote PCI Developments on its website.
