Steakhouse chain to close final Metro Vancouver location after 25 years
Now that it has shared that its Coquitlam location will be shuttering, steakhouse chain Mr Mikes SteakhouseCasual is joining the growing list of restaurants closing in and around Vancouver.
“With heartfelt gratitude, we want to thank our incredible guests, team, and community for your support over the years. Your loyalty, kindness, and connection have meant more to us than words can express,” shared the restaurant on Instagram.
Mr Mikes is best known for its casual atmosphere and menu, which features dishes like burgers, pasta, starters, tacos, and personalized steaks. These steaks, from sirloin to filet mignon, can be served in different styles with added sides and toppings, like a seafood or mushroom topper.
“While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we are closing this chapter with deep appreciation for every visit, every conversation, and every memory shared within our walls,” added the restaurant.

Its Coquitlam location is the brand’s final outpost in Metro Vancouver, meaning the next closest location for folks wanting to visit is in Chilliwack.

Many took to the comments of the closure announcement to share how much they would miss the restaurant.
“What?! Noooo!!! This is one of my favourite places to go, sad to see you guys close. Wishing everyone the best!” shared one Instagram user.
“Wow this was unexpected! Best wishes! Lots of great memories with family at this location,” added another.
“Our family spot. You’ll be missed,” said a third.
Mr Mikes’ final day of operation in Coquitlam is Sunday, April 26.
