Popular dirty soda trailer to open first brick-and-mortar in Metro Vancouver

Since its debut last year, the dirty soda trailer called Pop Culture Dirty Soda, run by co-owners and sisters Brooklynn and Mikayla Cantelon, has taken Metro Vancouver by storm. So much so that the duo have shared that they are officially looking for their first brick-and-mortar space.

“The rumours are not just rumours… we are looking at storefront opportunities in Langley,” shared Pop Culture on Instagram.

For those unfamiliar, a dirty soda is a soda that is enhanced with syrups and creamers. At Pop Culture, the menu features a rotating selection of drinks inspired by pop culture moments. Think drinks like the Short and Sweet (Dr. Pepper with raspberry, whipped cheesecake, and graham crumble), Peaches (energy drink with white peach, guava, and vanilla cream), and “Fruity Pebbles” (Coke with pineapple, mango, strawberry cold foam, and fruity cereal).

Since opening, the dirty soda truck has also started offering cafe-inspired drinks like lattes and matchas.

At its new location, Pop Culture promises to offer a bigger dirty soda menu, alongside a huge energy drink selection, more cafe-inspired offerings, snacks, food, and somewhere for people to “sit, yap, and chill.”

“We’re still in early looking stages, but we’ll keep you posted as things become real,” added Pop Culture.

And for those worried, the team did confirm that the dirty soda trailer is not going anywhere.

Dished spoke with Brooklynn and Mikayla back in 2025 when they first shared the news of Pop Culture.

The idea came after the sister duo, who are only a year apart, had spent time working together in cafes before they both pursued what they called “big girl jobs.” However, this left both of them feeling unfulfilled.

Then, after Brooklynn came back from a trip to Australia in September, the two sat down and realized how much they missed making drinks and working with each other.

Instead of going down the more typical cafe route, the sisters decided to do dirty sodas as a way to stand out from the competition.

“We saw [dirty sodas] on TikTok and started making them at home all the time,” said Brooklynn. “We grew up, like, in Langley, B.C., and we always went to A&W and had root beer floats, and we go to the States to get the cool pop flavours all the time.”

But Pop Culture isn’t just a way for the soda-loving sisters to start working together; they also saw a need for more non-alcoholic options in the area.

“We’re not big drinkers, and Langley is a little bit more limited with alcohol-free options, especially at festivals,” said Mikayla. “So we thought, why don’t we just make a little food truck and try to do some alcohol-free and fun dirty soda creations?”
