Vancouver star from 'Heated Rivalry' lands a big new role

The buzz around Hudson Williams continues to grow, as the Vancouver-based actor who rose to prominence thanks to Heated Rivalry just landed a new gig in an upcoming psychological thriller.
Williams will be starring alongside Dylan O’Brien in a new flick called Apparatus, which will be directed by Canadian filmmaker Sofia Banzhaf.
Filming will reportedly take place in Toronto.
Williams takes on a lead role in the upcoming picture, where he plays a struggling ride-share driver named Tyler, when he crosses paths with O’Brien’s character JP, who offers Tyler a way out.
For Williams, the Vancouver actor’s popularity has skyrocketed thanks to the viral success of the steamy Crave series Heated Rivalry. Williams went to school in Vancouver, attending Langara College. He also worked at the Old Spaghetti Factory in New Westminster.
O’Brien has also seen a recent spike in popularity, including doing a bang-up job in the recent Sam Raimi blockbuster thriller Send Help.
Good thing they’re filming in Toronto and not Vancouver, since Williams finds it boring here.
“Both of my boyfriends in a movie together omg I hope they don’t fight over me on set,” one person said in an Instagram thread about the news.
Filming is set to begin at the end of this month and will go on until May.
