6 of the best things we ate in Vancouver this month

Mar 28 2026, 3:00 pm

Vancouver is full of plenty of excellent restaurants, and we’re reminded of that every time we go out to eat. Whether you’re looking for something cozy and comforting to get you through the dreary rainy weather or something a little bit fancier to celebrate a special occasion, Vancouver has a place for any occasion.

And while we never regret a meal out in the city, there were some bites in particular that stood out from the crowd.

From homestyle Korean eats to standout Spanish cuisine, these are six of the best foods we ate in Vancouver this month.

Royal Court Tteokbokki — Nabi House

If you’re looking for homestyle Korean comfort food, Nabi House is definitely the place to be. Among the many highlights from the menu (including the crispy Nokdu Pancake made from kimchi and ground mung beans and Mushroom Bibimbap made with seasonal cultivated mushrooms in a truffle umami glaze), the Royal Court Tteokbokki was a standout. As opposed to the more common sweet and spicy tteokbooki variety, this dish reminded us almost of a goulash or stew, with plenty of chunks of meat throughout.

Chicken Pressé — Hawksworth Restaurant

Layers of chicken and cabbage are served, topped with asparagus, all over some incredibly addicting albufera sauce. If you’re looking for a nice meal out, this is a no-brainer. Pair this with some of Hawksworth’s Parfait of Foie Gras, Korean Fried Cauliflower, and a couple of cocktails, and you’re in for a good time.

Ensalada de Ajo Blanco con Tomates Asados y Atún Semicurado — Casa Molina

best vancouver food

Marco Ovies/Dished

Instead of taking the obvious choice and choosing to feature Casa Molina’s incredible paella (because if you’re at Casa Molina, it’s safe to assume you’ll be ordering a paella anyway), we opted to feature one of the most stunning dishes we ate this month. Ajo blanco is served with fire-roasted peppers, confit tomatoes, semi-cured tuna, orange, pine nuts, and a drizzle of ash oil to make a standout shareable plate.

The HTL Burger — The Secret Garden at H Tasting Lounge

best vancouver food

Marco Ovies/Dished

During our visit to check out The Secret Garden, H Tasting Lounge’s spring dome dining event, we had the opportunity to try the HTL Burger served on a special cacio e pepe brioche bun. Burger lovers will definitely want to add this to their must-try list.

100 Layer Lasagna — Nightingale

best vancouver food

Marco Ovies/Dished

The 100 Layer Lasagna is for anyone who loves cheese and is an easy inclusion in our list of the best Vancouver food we ate. We were too busy digging into this cheesy, saucy creation to stop and count if the lasagna did indeed have 100 layers.

Roasted Duck Red Curry — Charm by Zab Bite

best vancouver food

Marco Ovies/Dished

Charm’s Roasted Duck Red Curry gets a little bit of sweetness from pineapple and grapes, as well as some spice from the coconut-based red curry. Include some roasted duck for a little bit of richness from the roast duck, and you’re in for one heck of a good Thai curry.
