The cafe isn’t the only recent spot to shutter in the area, with many restaurants such as The Greek and Heritage Asian Eatery both having closed locations in the neighbourhood, citing the Broadway Subway construction delays as the reason for their closure. Other businesses, such as Fable Diner, have also gone on record to share the negative impacts the construction has had on their business.
Additionally,Ā Ramen One, the ramen restaurant with a focus on solo dining and located just steps from Broadway-City Hall Station, also closed its doors. However, it did not provide a reason for its closure, and a new concept called Oishinoya has opened in its place.
