Purebread Bakery has announced that it has closed its West 4th location after a two-year run.

“After almost two wonderful years of getting to know you, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our Purebread West 4th location on 29th March 2026,” wrote the bakery. “We’re incredibly grateful to this neighbourhood and to everyone who stopped in for coffee, pastries, and a chat. We loved serving you all. Some once a week, some once a day or even just as a once off!”

Purebread got its start as a small stall at the Whistler Farmers Market 15 years ago. Since then, it has opened eight locations across Metro Vancouver and the Sea-to-Sky.

The bakery also shared that the baristas at its West 4th location will still be around at other Purebread locations.

“Thank you so much for being part of our story. We look forward to seeing you again soon!”

Many took to the comments sharing how much they would miss the location.

“so sad to see you guys go!! please please keep the broadway location in kits up and running,” said one Instagram user.

“You are all amazing. I was only able to get there a couple times (live in White Rock) but the customer service was A+ and the vibes were my fav,” said another.

“Just fell to my kneesšŸ’”šŸ˜”,” shared a third.

Folks looking to get their Purebread fix can visit one of its many other locations across Vancouver.
