New Zealand-style soft serve shop reopens in Vancouver
After taking a break in 2025 to rejig the shop, the New Zealand-style soft serve shop Plain Jane has officially reopened its doors just in time for spring.
Plain Jane is best known for its use of organic French vanilla ice cream and real frozen fruit while using a New Zealand technique that the shop says, “Let’s both speak for ourselves.”

Flavours rotate throughout the season, but the shop has offered varieties like strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry.
As for the renovations, the space has gone from a simple walk-up window to a shop with seating.
Currently, the ice cream destination is operating daily from noon to 10 p.m.
