Public Disco and VCBF’s Blossom Block Party

Public Disco
What: Returning this year is the signature event, Blossom Block Party, with a car-free Dunsmuir Street.
The all-ages party by Public Disco will take place at Dunsmuir Patio at Bentall Centre, with DJ sets by Sakiko Nagai, Kozue, Nina Mendoza, and Beiti. There will also be family-friendly activities and interactive art in celebration of the city’s beautiful blossoms.

Vancouver International Burlesque Festival
What: Canada’s longest-running burlesque festival returns to Vancouver this week, and fans are in for an electrifying time.
The Glamorama Gala on Friday night and Showpony Soiree on Saturday night will see stunning lineups of performers take to the Vancouver Playhouse stage. There will also be a Virtual Vaudeville on Sunday for fans to enjoy.

Capture Photography Festival
What: A free, month-long photography festival featuring dozens of free events returns to Metro Vancouver in April. This year’s Capture Photography Festival events include gallery exhibitions, public art installations, photo walks, and more across the region.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Portland Timbers

What: Vancouver Whitecaps continue their MLS season this weekend with an exciting matchup against the Portland Timbers on April 4 at BC Place. The game will also be celebrating Vaisakhi, with several in-stadium activities planned, including live music, special food offerings, and more.

Bear Creek Park Easter Train
What: Put on your bunny ears and hop aboard Eddy the Engine for a magical ride at one of Surrey’s most popular parks.
After your Easter Train ride, children of all ages can enjoy arts and crafts, go on a decorated forest tour, and take part in an egg hunt.
There will also be games, animals on-site every weekend, and a chance for a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny.

French Montana
What: The Key Vancouver, a 1,000-capacity performance venue, officially opens its doors with a highly anticipated inaugural lineup including Dr. Fresch on April 3 and French Montana on April 5.
French Montana was born in Morocco and holds the title of the most-streamed African-born musical artist and the first African-born artist to earn a diamond-certified single.
The “Unforgettable” singer has collaborated with artists like Rick Ross, Drake, and Swae Lee, and is also the founder of Coke Boy Records. He has also appeared on TV shows such as Empire, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, NCIS: New Orleans, and America’s Next Top Model.

Hop into Spring at Capilano Mall

Capilano Mall
What: Ready for some fluffy festivities? Hop on down to Capilano Mall on Saturday, April 4, for an egg-citing Spring celebration. Families are invited to the Grand Court for visits and photos with the Easter Bunny, plus fun kids’ activities including cookie decorating and face painting.
Don’t forget to fill your basket with treats fit for a bunny at Guest Services, while supplies last.
And for the first time at Capilano Mall, families can also purchase a photo with the Easter Bunny. Easter Bunny photo sessions will be available on April 4 and April 5 between 12:30 and 5 p.m. Walk-up visits are welcome, but reservations are recommended.

Easter on the Peak

Another Room Photo Festival

Another Room Photo Festival
What: Hosted at Gallery 881 in East Vancouver, Another Room is a month-long festival from April 1 to April 30 that platforms all kinds of photographic practices.
More than 100 local artists will have their works featured throughout the festival, plus there will also be exhibitions, talks, workshops, youth programming, and community events. It’s a whole new look at photography as a whole, and it’s just in time for spring outings.

Rabbitats Easter BunnyFest
What: The Rabbitats Easter BunnyFest is a great way to visit with rabbits in real life and learn about the cotton-tailed cuties. The family-friendly event features a Meet & Treat, where you can watch the rabbits or join them in their enclosure to feed them treats from a cup. You can even get your face painted like your favourite bunny.

Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival

Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival
What: The 2026 Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival is happening at Garry Point Park on Sunday, April 12. Visitors will help celebrate the arrival of spring and the blooming of cherry blossoms, as well as enjoy a day full of free activities, live entertainment, and food trucks.
Check out the Sakura Tent for main-stage performances and demos, including taiko drumming, folk singing and dancers, and ikebana demonstrations. Children of all ages can also stop by the Chibi-Chan Tent to learn how to fold origami creatures with special Japanese papers and techniques.
Attendees will also want to visit the Hanami Tent for displays and demos from local artisans, including bonsai, calligraphy, and origami.
